Paul Duncan has been a faculty member at the University of Florida since 1979. His teaching and research are focused on health care organization, management and financing.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Duncan has served the University of Florida in a wide range of administrative assignments, directing research centers and academic programs, and serving as a Department Chair for ten years. He is currently the Senior Associate Dean of the UF Graduate School, where he is responsible for the academic policies and practices that govern more than 300 graduate degree programs offered at the university.
When not teaching or doing research, Dr. Duncan takes his health care interests into the community. Two Florida Governors have appointed him to serve on advisory commissions. He has been a member and chair of the Health Care Board of Alachua County, Florida. For almost ten years, he served on the Board of Directors, and was twice elected President of an award winning medical and dental care clinic that serves poor and uninsured rural residents in the areas north of his home in Gainesville, Florida.
