Vernetta K. Mosley, founder of Cultivate the Writer (CTW)
The UF Graduate School’s Office of Graduate Diversity Initiatives (OGDI) will hold its Spring 2022 Dissertation Writing Workshop on Thursday, January 20, 2022 (3 p.m. through 4 p.m.) online via Zoom.
Featuring Dr. Vernetta K. Mosley — consultant, writing coach, editor, and Cultivate the Writer (CTW) founder — the theme of this workshop will be Composing Clear, Precise Research: Elements of a Sound Academic Argument.
This workshop will teach participants how to grasp the distinct elements of an argument, to compose a clear position, and to identify strategies that bolster an argument — skills needed to make an impact and get one’s point across in the world of scholarly writing.
Interested UF graduate students can register for this workshop online by clicking this link: Register via GIMS. The deadline to register is Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Registrants will receive a Zoom link via email the day before the event. Up to 300 can register for this event. OGDI will record it and share it with all graduate students afterwards.
